💙 A pet free home – this is mainly due to Sparrow still drinking from a small animal bottle, we will be trying to move him onto a cat water fountain but having normal pet water bowls around the home could be a risk to him if he accidentally inhales the water whilst trying to have a drink.
Also, still being only 1.4kg, he’s by no means delicate but it wouldn’t be fair to have a boisterous dog bashing into him.
💙 Local – We are ideally looking for a home local to Herefordshire, as Sparrow is registered at Brookfield Vets, Hereford & Ledbury we would like him to be seen by them for any cleft issues in future, under our care (although we are very hopeful he shouldn’t have any issues and that no surgery is needed).
💙 Any children in the home should be 7 years old+, Sparrow is very sociable and has been around young children but he has very sharp puppy teeth and plays rough, he also gets under your feet so young children running around would be a risk.
For his own safety & health, Sparrow will likely always need to be kept away from water I.e paddling pools, the sea, ponds etc to avoid the risk of inhaling water.
Sparrow very much enjoys the company of people, he will need a home where there is someone around for the majority of the time, he needs time and training like all puppies.
He has no issues with separation anxiety as his foster family have ensured that he has learnt to spend time alone, particularly being hand reared we didn’t want him to get too dependant on humans.
Puppy training classes will be essential to ensure he continues his socialisation and learns his basic training skills.

In his own surroundings he is very confident, he loves his toys and interacting with people.
Watching and helping him grow from a 20 hour old, 135 gram newborn puppy with a slim chance of survival has been an absolute privilege, our hearts are beaming with pride. 🥹💙
