Ivy – I’ve been adopted!

Doberman x Belgian shepherd (malinois)

5.5 months old

We would love to introduce you to this beautiful pup, she’s a big girl in both body and character!

Ivy has been absolutely cherished in her previous home but sadly finds herself looking for a new family, she can be very timid and lacks confidence when first meeting people but give her an hour and she’s your best friend! She will look to her trusted human for lots of reassurance.

We are searching for an owner/family that ideally has experience with one or both of her mix of breeds but this is not essential.

Both breeds can be protective and very loyal to their loved ones, Ivy will need lots of socialisation with humans and other animals to ensure she continues to grow into a friendly and sociable dog that can enjoy the very best of life within her new family.

A home with another compatible, confident and kind dog is possible, Ivy has also lived with cats so a home with resident felines is a possibility.

As Ivy is a big girl who still has lots of growing to do, any children that live within the home must be at least 8 years old, Ivy is super clumsy and could easily knock small children over, she has never mixed with children and given her timid nature could become scared easily by small people.

Basically, Ivy identifies as a small dog who would sit on your shoulder like a parrot at every opportunity if she could. There is no idea of personal space or time alone as she wants to be with her special people at all times.

Ivy is the most beautiful, affectionate girl but isn’t suitable for an inexperienced owner, she will need positive guidance and training with clear boundaries which must be applied.

Ivy will absolutely not make a working dog, she has no drive and can be scared of her own shadow.

She may look intimidating to some but she is in fact a great big princess!
