Max – Poodle, 4 years old
These are the faces of two lovely boys that were sadly abandoned by their owner with no second thought for their fate.
Two boys that were scared, confused and didn’t understand why their beloved person had walked away, left them and denied all knowledge of ever knowing them. (We know the full story).
Poor Max had taken it the hardest, he didn’t eat for a week as he felt so lost, he couldn’t bring himself to trust anyone and would freeze everytime we approached him.
Thankfully we’ve managed to win this little ones heart and he has now become the sweetest little lad who loves to give kisses and cuddles to the ones he knows and loves.
Ricky is such a darling, again he didn’t eat properly for days but is a gentle boy who enjoys human companionship and prances around on his tippy toes. A beautiful boy with a lovely character.
We would love to keep the boys together if we can as they’ve been through such a lot together and they are a bonded pair.
It’s likely any new owner would need to visit a few times to build up a good bond with Ricky and Max as they can be afraid of new unknown people.
We have found that they both prefer ladies as they feel safe in their company, men can be rather scary to them.
Ideally we are looking for a home where they can be the only pets to ensure they settle well into their new environment without any added pressure.
At this stage we feel an adult only home would be best suited due to little Max’s timid nature.
