Cocker spaniel
Bronson is lucky enough to be residing with his lovely foster carer. Here’s a few words from them..
Bronson will celebrate his 3rd birthday on Christmas Day, he has the best possible temperament, sunny, happy, always active and gets on well with my dogs. Not a sign of aggression in any instance, more than reasonable on a lead, great in the car and very good recall considering his history as a kennel dog. He responds to his name when within sight and also when out of direct vision.
On arrival into rescue, Bronson was not house trained but is now happy and settled when in his ‘den’, being fully crate trained with no recent accidents.
Having spent all his life in a kennel and not a domestic environment he is, sadly, a thief, having stolen from the kitchen work tops (a whole quiche lorraine and a plate of buscuits). However he is learning very fast every day and as his confidence grows he will know not to do this again.
He eats well and with great appetite, he has put on over a kilo since arrival as he was quite underweight.
Unless resting in his crate he is always on the go which is typical of the breed so he will absolutely be best suited to an active home with an owner with experience of owning spaniels, possibly with other similar dogs as he gets on very well even with my bossy ‘top dog’ collie bitch, and his history says he has never been alone.
Bronson craves attention and affection, he is beginning to understand “down” and “no” and he is working on “sit”. I am certain he will make someone or a family a perfect active pet.
Any children in the home must be 8 years +.
